Jewelled Trevor James alto flute

It could have looked so wrong, but WOW!!!!! Check out this amazing jewelled Trevor James Performer Series alto flute.

Trevor James states, “It all started when we saw a video of a bespoke hand jewelled alto sax and thought, what would happen if the same was done on a TJ alto flute?

We were always confident that it would look beautiful, but really didn’t know what it would sound like once it was completed. So, we got in touch with the fabulous London based saxophone and flute player Lottie B of Nyenyezi Horns who created the jewelled sax…. We commissioned her to do the same on a TJ copper body alto.

A couple of months, and many hours of careful handwork later, here is the result. Each jewel is carefully hand placed by Lottie based on size and colour reflectiveness so that the flute is very comfortable to play and looks stunning at every angle, changing colour through every light variation. As for how it plays. WONDERFULLY!”

This flute is a brilliant and fun creative project and is not for general sale, however, stay tuned for some audio demos from London based Trevor James artist, Josh Johnson.

Such has been the amazing repoonse to this jewelled flute, Trevor James have commissioned Lottie B to also hand ‘Jewel’ a TJ piccolo and C flute.
